New Skills – Craft Projects – Fun Sports
Action Gang – 8-10 year olds
The Action Gang develop skills through new experiences and opportunities. We ensure that our middle group has a wide range of activities to choose from; giving them the chance to improve their skills set, build confidence and self-esteem.
The timetable for the day is structured to include set activities but we also give the children periods of free play, time to be creative and use their imagination. Sports activities end at 4.30; from 4.30 to 5.15pm the children return to their designated classrooms to relax and watch a film or engage in free play. From 5.15 through to 6pm, staff will ensure that activities are relaxed so that children have the chance to wind down at the end of the day.
Typical activities include: swimming session with rookie lifeguarding, football, tennis, touch rugby, cricket, golf, gymnastics, dance, board games, crafts, kayaking, athletics, rounders, handball, drama and cookery (where facilities are available). Plus daily “pulse raiser” activity.
